Camping activities: Making the most of nature

Camping activities can be fun and exciting for all providing they are appropriate for the group, for example age and experience appropriate. Panning is essential; without planning people will tend to lose interest in the trip and find themselves becoming bored and beginning to crave the ‘not so essential’ television, internet and video games! Learning how to ignite a camp fire; cook without a kitchen and toast marshmallows can become exciting and fun for all. Nature is an incredible part of our lives, something many find themselves not taking much of an interest in; however taking time out to explore in the woods and can change anyone’s perception on nature. From plants to insects, birds to rocks, people can find themselves taking an interest in anything once they’re exposed what nature truly has to offer. Common camping activities would also include kayaking; fishing and canoeing. These are great to keep the adrenalin pumping and charge you up for next adventure! Even the simpler activities such as football or a made up badminton set can be enough to keep many occupied.

The North Face brand is constantly working towards getting people outdoors and exploring what nature has to offer. From pitching your own tent to creating the ideal camping dinner, North Face are dedicating themselves to empowering people to find a passion amongst nature, and enhance their existing knowledge about survival in the wild, putting theory in to practice. The North Face brand simply wants people to appreciate nature and the great outdoors, therefore doing all they can to head this campaign in the right direction.

North Face clothing is commonly known for being one of the largest suppliers of outdoor clothing and equipment for both adults and children. Whatever the weather conditions may be whilst on your camping trip, clothing and equipment are adaptable to most outdoor environments and appropriate for a great majority of activities conducted outdoors. The North Face sale allows for customers to purchase many items at discounted prices. This would be due to items being discontinued or struggling to sell; regardless, this would be the perfect opportunity to purchase items as full priced products tend to be more costly; if this is going to be an issue (particularly due to the quantity that would also need to be purchased) you will certainly benefit from the North Face sale.

The North Face brand aims to highlight the benefits that come with adopting the great outdoors; the physical benefits of leading a healthy lifestyle are priceless and for that reason allowing people to establish a connection with nature remains vital. It is important for people to establish a connection with nature, and to become knowledgeable on how to survive with the minimum and bare essentials. Camping trips can help people to appreciate what they have, where as many other struggle to come to terms with the idea of camping; finding it boring and somewhat pointless when we have a home.  However planning is essential; finding the right location for your needs is crucial as many camping sites can vary immensely; getting this wrong could potentially jeopardise the entire trip. With the correct planning and preparation, camping activities can be far more enjoyable than what many people anticipate. With the latest advancements in technology, people are beginning to find more and more excuses to not leave their homes, particularly younger generations. It is important for people to be aware of how to survive in multiple conditions, yet this can be done in a fun, interesting manner; and this is where planning your trip will come in to much use.

Time to Camp…

Its that time again, the summer is around the corner, school is nearly out and we’re ready to let our hair down. For those parents wondering what they can do to keep their kids occupied for the summer break we have one word for you; camping.

Money saving has never been more important but just because we can’t all manage that glitzy, high flying beach holiday doesn’t mean that the summer will go to waste and the kids will be bored out of their little minds! With the UK set to see an action packed summer; why even think of going abroad? Get our your tent, or buy a new family tenet (we recommend Outwell tents to avoid any camping disasters) pack your rucksacks and go and sleep under the starry nights and give your kids those memorable moments they would never get sitting on a deck chair  by the pool.

Camping seems to have fast been an activity that people have shied away from; this might have something to do with the British definition of weather but it may also have to do with the fear of outdoors. We are not an outdoors nation (we have the rain t thank for that!), far too many of us prefer the menial labours of shopping, watching TV and going to the movies but why do we all need to become mindless robots? Why not seek a little adventure!

Believe it or not camping is not just for the back packing youth; families, couples and friends of all ages need to get out there and enjoy the beauty that England has to offer. Sleep under the stars, see the mountains that Wales has to offer and the beach laying in waiting in Cornwall…there is a whole world waiting out there, so why miss out?

Stop being afraid of the outdoors! Stop thinking about dinky little tents, lamps that go out and fires that won’t light. Invest in some great camping equipment that will make your adventure that bit more special. Light a fire, go for walks and explore the meaning of true beauty…what have you got to lose?

British Summer Spirit

Let’s face it, British weather is unreliable to say the least. Gone are the days where we could plan a barbeque in advance and know that it would work out just fine. The weather always seems to let us down and it seems people are just about fed up of waiting for the sun to shine but does that mean that the barbeque is going out of fashion?

They said we were due for a drought, we blinked and it rained buckets and hasn’t stopped. It is nearly June yet employees all over the country are calling in sick thanks to the flu caused by freezing temperatures. It is safe to say the sun is definitely taking its time to make an appearance but when it does we most definitely need to embrace just what we are being offered with a good old fashioned barbeque.

2012 has never been a better year to be British and with the jubilee and Olympics right around the corner it’s time to bring back the good old fashioned street parties, camping trips and garden parties with a bang and remind ourselves that we British know just how to celebrate the summer!

Ok, so it’s not British in origin but the barbeque and even the camping holiday has become a staple part of our summer culture so it’s time to get stocked up. Ensure your garage is ready and prepared with a good sturdy and high quality gas or coal barbeque, the size will depend on your family of course. Make sure you have a substantial amount of coal on hand which can be brought from any specialist add to that your extra’s like tongs, lighter fluid and so on and your stocked and ready for when the sun decides to show its face.

Whatever summer we get, lets embrace the sunshine and bring back the good old fashioned British party spirit. 2012 is the year of the British, let’s make it count!
